Inka Assure

Inka applies your design system's rules while a page is being edited. Inka Assure keeps the record: which checks ran on each published version, what they found, and who signed off anything that needed a person's judgement.

In development, planned for release in late 2026. It will be available licensed, to run in your own environment, or as our hosted service. It is not priced per editor.

What it does

  • Evidence for every published version. Which checks ran, which passed, and which exceptions were signed off, by whom, when and why.
  • Sign-off instead of blocking. Where something is subjective, or an editor needs to depart from a rule, it is signed off rather than blocked: by the editor while editing, or by a reviewer at a workflow step, as the rule decides. You get a register of exceptions instead of finding them in an audit.
  • Kept outside the CMS. The record lives in its own store, so it survives a change of CMS.
  • Reports and dashboards. Failing checks, open exceptions and sign-off status by site, owner and risk level, as lists on Inka's dashboards and exportable to your reporting tools.
  • Approval checklists. The steps a page must pass before it is published, recorded against the version that went live.
  • Out-of-date translations. Optionally tracked across every content store, including ones that don't track this themselves.
  • Usage inventory. Where each block, template and snippet is used, if your CMS doesn't keep this.
  • Check plugins. Its own check plugins, alongside Inka's open-source ones.

Not a scanner

A scanning tool reports afterwards what is wrong across a site. Inka catches problems while the page is written, and Inka Assure records what was checked and approved on the version that was published, when it was published.

Open by design

Inka Assure is built on Inka's open plugin system. You can add your own services for checks and audit storage, alongside Inka Assure or instead of it, and export its full record at any time. Inka itself, including the editor, the rules, the adapters and the plugin interface, stays open source.

Planned later

  • AI-based rules, used only if you enable them, to flag possible issues such as tone of voice, whether a claim is accurate, advice that may be out of date, or form questions that ask for data you have said shouldn't be collected.
  • A search index across all your sites, so a rule can check a page against your other content, for example advice that contradicts another page.
  • Comments on blocks, with mentions and notifications.
  • Real-time editing by more than one person.
